Moraira

Moraira is a small, atmospheric coastal town that has deliberately remained low-rise and relaxed. There are no high apartment blocks or large hotel complexes here, and you will not find the feel of mass tourism. Instead, the heart of Moraira is its charming old town, with narrow streets, inviting terraces, independent boutiques and a wonderful choice of restaurants.

The main sandy beach lies in a sheltered bay beside the historic castle, with a gently sloping shoreline ideal for families. A palm-lined promenade runs along the water, perfect for a morning stroll, an ice cream in the afternoon or a drink at sunset while you watch the boats come and go.

Just outside the centre you will find smaller bays with crystal-clear blue water and rocky coves that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Here you can slip into the sea from flat rock platforms or small pebble beaches and discover colourful fish just a few metres from the shore. It is a wonderfully unhurried place to enjoy the Mediterranean at its best.

Close to Villa Sunday
